901 Walnut Street Redevelopment, Thomas Jefferson University
In collaboration with U3 Ventures, BKP studied the sites at 901 and 909 Walnut Street for the viability of developing both parcels into a high-rise medical office building. The plans include a 21-story building on the 901 site that cantilevers over 909 Walnut. The concept minimizes disruption of the 909 occupants while permitting phased future expansion. Highly efficient, column-free floor plates maximize the value of Jefferson’s assets. Setbacks, attention to scale, and vertical lines on the facades offer connectivity to the rest of campus.
