901 Walnut Street Redevelopment, Thomas Jefferson University
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
In collaboration with U3 Ventures, BKP studied the sites at 901 Walnut Street and 909 Walnut Street for the viability of developing both parcels into a high-rise medical office building. The plans include a 21-story building on the 901 site that cantilevers over 909 Walnut. The concept minimizes disruption of the 909 occupants while permitting phased future expansion. Highly efficient, column-free floor plates maximize the value of Jefferson’s assets. Setbacks, attention to scale, and vertical lines on the facades offer connectivity to the rest of campus.
